The Climb+(winter) CPD is aimed at staff who want to sharpen their skills for leadership in the mountains of the UK under winter conditions. It is based in the Cairngorms at Aviemore, with ensuite rooms at the Macdonald Hotel near the town centre
Syllabus:
The course will include some, but not all of, the following - forecasting weather and avalanche conditions, snow skills, coaching use of winter tools (ice axe, crampons), snow, ice and rock anchors in winter, climbing on grade 1 or 2 ground, common problems and solutions, personal protective equipment, conservation and navigation.

Arrive Wednesday evening from 7.00pm. Bar Meals will be available. Course finishes by 4.00pm Friday to allow for travel home. Additional hotel nights either side of the course can be arranged.
